ONE-SIDED VS. TWO SIDED

Today’s bedding manufacturers are offering a “no maintenance ” mattress. This “no maintenance ” mattress offers the convenience of not turning your mattress while still offering complete comfort.

ONE SIDED – A one sided mattress accommodates a lifestyle that demands convenience.  Eliminating the need to flip your mattress manufacturers are using modern foams and fibers engineered for durability and quality while still giving you comfort and correct support.

TWO-SIDED – The two sided mattresses have many benefits.  Although two sided mattresses do not need to be flipped, doing so will measurably increase the time your mattress retains its comfort life.  Like all products that provide comfort, the more they are used, the more its comfort life diminishes with time.  With a two-sided mattress, you will have more comfort and value because you have the opportunity to turn to the second side, and thereby extend your mattresses overall comfort life

Sleep Gallery is proud to give the consumer their choice.  Sealy and Stearns & Foster have switched to a one sided line.  With this switch they have upgraded other areas of comfort and quality and have come up with a truly great line of bedding.  Serta has been carrying the two-sided and one-sided line for years.  They have also made improvements in comfort and quality while still giving the customer their choice.

With advantages to both sides, it really comes down to comfort and all of these major bedding manufactures have it.

WARRANTY

Customer satisfaction is our most important objective.  Considering that a mattress is the most frequently used piece of furniture in your home, we want to provide you with the peace of mind that you are satisfied with your sleep set purchase.  While most manufacturer’s offer a full ten year warranty on their premium mattress sets, this warranty does not mean that your mattress will last that long.  Warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship, not the gradual loss of comfort or support.  Actual manufacturer’s warranty cover defects not comfort.  So when shopping for a new mattress set, focus on finding a mattress with the best support and most comfortable padding at a price you can afford, not on the manufacturer’s warranty.  The stated warranty applies to the original owner and proof of purchase must be provided.  Manufacturer warranty is usually voided if there are any stains or soils on the mattress or box spring, if an improper frame support or an inappropriate foundation is used or if the original law labels are not attached to the mattress or box spring.   The consumer is responsible for any pick up or delivery charges pertinent to an exchange or repair.

Most products carried by Sleep Gallery offer a limited manufacturer’s warranty.  Please check at the time of your purchase for applicable warranties.

COMFORT ADJUSTMENT PERIOD

It is important to give your new bedding purchase an adjustment period.  If you are changing comfort levels or support from your present set to a new set, allow your body time to adjust.  It may take up to 30 days to adjust to a softer or firmer feel than you are used to.

SHOPPING TIPS

TAKE YOUR TIMEIt is very important to lie on a bed as you would on your own set at home.  Sitting on the edge of the bed is a totally different feeling than lying down.  Lay on each bed that you are interested in for at least ten minutes.  Initial impression of a bed is good, but as the foam contours to your body, you may get a different feel.

COMPARE APPLES TO APPLES Compare coil count... Comparing mattresses is becoming more of a challenge for the consumer.  Ideally, buying the best mattress you can afford is the way to go.  A Serta Perfect Sleeper or a Sealy Posturepedic are comparable in quality and construction but may offer totally different comfort choices.  Stearns & Foster carry the same construction in all of their beds but add better upholsteries for more comfort as you advance in their line.  Warranties should be considered but should not be a decision maker.  Most major manufacturers offer a ten-year warranty.  Check that the warranty is a full warranty and not pro-rated or limited.  A warranty is not toward the comfort of your set, only defects.  Make sure you find the comfort of your choice.  The heavier gauge of wire the stronger the coil, the more support it gives.

Sleep Gallery is proud to offer the Tempur-pedic to our line of mattresses.  There are no coils in this mattress, the density of foam is what supports and cradles your body.  When shopping for a visco foam bed, make sure you stop in and try this ultimate sleep system.  We also carry similar products for you comfort options.

COMFORTYou cannot judge a mattress by sitting on the edge.   Lie down, preferably in the position you sleep.  Wear comfortable clothes and bring your partner, if you have one, to feel for size and comfort.  As long as you get a good support system you can choose any comfort level.  Most mattresses are offered in a firm, plush or pillow top.  As long as you are getting a high coil count and heavy gauge steel, you can choose the firmness or softness that suits your individual needs.

COSTA good night’s sleep is one of the best investments you can make so buy the best mattress you can afford.  Spending at least $450.00 for a twin-size mattress set, $600.00 for a full-size set, $800.00 for a queen size set, and $1,000.00 for a king size, you can get a quality, durable product.

SIZESMattress and box springs come in standard sizes:

- Twin – 39”x75”
- Full – 54”x75”
- Queen – 60”x80”
- King – 76”x80”

You might want to consider changing from a full to a queen for more sleeping area if you have the room.  If a larger bed is something you want but narrow hallways or stairwells prevent it, consider a split box or two-piece foundation.

SETS VS. MATT ONLY- You should always buy a mattress and box spring as a set.  The two parts are engineered to work together.  Using an old box spring will reduce mattresses’ comfort and longevity
